Champions League/Europa League/Conference League

English teams continue to set the pace in the Champions league !

Newcastle 3 - 0 Benfica

Villarreal 0 - 2 Man City

Arsenal 4 - 0 Atl Madrid

Chelsea 5 - 1 Ajax

Of the 6 teams taking part in the Champions league, only Tottenham did not take maximum points and they had their goal keeper Vicario to thank for the precious point earn in the principality ! Elsewhere it was business as usual for the likes of Newcastle, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool as they all recorded wins, with both Chelsea and Liverpool registering identical 5 - 1 scores.

Elsewhere in the Europa and conference leagues,

Forest 2 - 0 Porto

Go Ahead Eagles 2 - 1 Aston Villa

Palace 0 - 1 Larnaca

In the Europa league, Forest beat Porto 2 - 0 in Sean Dyche's first game in charge while Villa slump to a surprising 2 - 1 defeat to relative unknown Go Ahead Eagles in Holland. Palace lost to Greek side Larnaca in the second match day after winning in Kyiv on the first match day.
